Our 2013 Matriculants

Congratulations to both Lauren Sobotker and Siphuxolo Melamane on passing Grade 12 with a bachelors pass.

Both Lauren and Siphuxolo radically reduced their golfi ng (and social) schedules in 2013 to achieve this great result. We are very proud of them.

Lauren Sobotker, our most successful golfer to date, has represented the Clovelly Ladies 1st league team, been selected for WP ladies golf and has gone on to win the coveted title of Clovelly Ladies Club champion in 2013.

This year sees Lauren starting her Diploma course of study as set out by the Professional Golfers Association. The 3 year course will include business management, sports science, golf coaching, sports psychology in addition to golf specifi c modules such as equipment technology.

We are thrilled that Clovelly offered Lauren a bursary to complete her studies. Dave Odendaal, Head Professional at Clovelly for almost 30 years, will guide her through her studies over the next 3 years.

In addition, Lauren now continues her journey in RAGA. She will coach our junior students as well as assisting our students in a mentor capacity.
