Anelisa Komani

ACADEMIC: GRADE 9 Masiphumele High School

Academic Progress:  Anelisa has taken noticed that not completing homework affects her marks.  She has resolved to make sure to complete all homework tasks.  She has older sibling who she can ask to help her if she doesn’t understand and she says she will do this.   She has made a big effort in maths this last year and her mark is improving.

Post-School Vision: Anelisa enjoys chemistry and would like a career in this field producing things that help people.

GOLF: Handicap

Comment: Anelisa has made a huge improvement where her golf is concerned. She is a very keen student who listens well to instructions and tries her best to follow those instructions while practicing. While on-course lessons took place Anelisa struggled at first but excelled once she got comfortable with her surroundings.

LIFE SKILLS: President’s Award Bronze

Anelisa received a note from The President’s Award’s Office thanking her for her Bronze Portfolio of Evidence which was a pleasure to read. With over 40 hours Community Service for her Silver Award, Anelisa is well on her way to completing this section. Two afternoons of her week are spent at the Love and Care Creche in Masi helping the children play, feed and learn. She first visited the centre during her Bronze Award and so loved it that she returned for her Silver. Practising the art of Public Speaking for her Skill Section of The Bronze Award really helped Anelisa with her studies and she is now studying extra academic lessons for the Silver section.

From not looking forward to her Bronze Adventurous Journey and finishing with a smile on her face, Anelisa is now looking forward to her Silver Adventure which will be in April 2017. Learning to work as a group, how to compromise and how to communicate clearly was something she had to learn very quickly. Learning Golf as a new sport in the Bronze Section, Anelisa has decided to keep on improving at her game and will work towards this in the Silver Section.
