ACADEMIC: GRADE 9 Masiphumele High School
Academic Progress: Aphendule has inconsistent academic performance. He is not yet aware of what he does that contributes to marks or of strategies to improve marks. He needs closer attention when completing his term analysis to ensure that he utilizes this task to its full potential. He will need to put in extra effort to his home language to ensure that he passes the grade.
Post-School Vision: Aphendule is interested in electricity. He says that he is good at maths and enjoys circuits.
Comment: Aphendule has shown tremendous improvement.He excels with every opportunity he gets and makes the most of it.He has a positive attitude and shows enthusiasm in on-course and on the range lessons .He has a natural way as to how he swings and his mannerisms when on the golf course.
LIFE SKILLS: President’s Award Bronze
Apendule received a note from The President’s Award Office thanking him for his detailed Bronze Portfolio of Evidence. Amassing 24 hours over 3 months for his Bronze working at a Safe House in Masi, building a shack for a disadvantaged family and keeping his community clean, Apendule is now enjoying his Community Service working at The Rainbow Dream Trust in Masi and has done over 38 hours volunteering. Learning the skill of Public Speaking for his Bronze Award Aphendule soon learnt that this skill will help him in his future. Speaking English clearly and concisely during this Skill made Aphendule decide to take extra academic lessons to improve his school work for his Silver skills section.
Aphendule came out of his shell during the 24 km Adventurous Journey part of the Bronze Award. Never complaining, Aphendule took on each challenge and began to believe in himself and to build his confidence. Learning golf during the Bronze Award Aphendule worked very hard and has decided to continue to improve on his golf for his Silver Award.
