LIFE SKILLS: President’s Award Bronze

‘Thank you for such a detailed Portfolio of Evidence. It was a pleasure to read’ This was the comment from the Management of The President’s Award on Bongiwe’s Portfolio of her work for The Bronze Award. Spending her free time in a kid’s Safe House and at a kids Club was how Bongiwe earned her Community hours totalling 25hours in all. Enrolling in the Silver Award this year, Bongiwe is now helping out at the Masi Library with the children’s section teaching the children to read and listen to stories.

The study of Public Speaking for her Bronze Skill has helped Bongiwe enormously within this environment and she has so far worked over 40hours for her Community. Learning golf from scratch for her Bronze Award, Bongiwe has decided to continue to learn the game of golf and improve on it for her Silver Award as well as having extra academic lessons for her Skill section.

Bongiwe is looking forward to the Adventurous Award in the Silver Section after completing 24kms on foot for her Bronze over 2 days. Coming across as shy at first, she soon found her voice and quietly increased in confidence during the journey.
