Boys perform admirably in the Clovelly Chammy cup

The Chammy Cup (the Clovelly Members-Only Knockout Better Ball Match Play Competition) sets teams of two against another team of two.

This year eighty teams entered, four teams of which were RAGA students. The pairing of Shane De Kock and Yaaseen Manuel overcame strong opposition to reach the 4th round and were narrowly beaten. The gutsy pairing of Llewellyn Fredericks and Zubair Smith went on to the Quarter Finals against very experienced opposition in members David Mathews and Leon Dekker. David and Leon did pip them in a narrow 2 and 1 win with David later writing an amazing letter complimenting the boys on their sportsmanship, golfing etiquette and their never give up attitude throughout the match. Well done to all the RAGA boys!
