ACADEMIC: GRADE 11 Fish Hoek High School

Academic Progress:  Caitlin’s academics have taken a downturn this year and she is really going to have to work hard, particularly in English to ensure she passes.  She attends extra classes at school and also Master Maths tutoring.

LIFE SKILLS: President’s Award Bronze
Caitlin received a note of thanks from The President’s Award Office for her Bronze Portfolio.

A young lady who immerses herself 100% into her chosen tasks, Caitlin took on the challenge of baking for her Bronze Skill which she found was a great way to find out that you have a natural talent for something. Caitlin loves people of all ages and spread her Community Service for Bronze from the young to the very old in a care home. Combining the visits with her baking skills, Caitlin provided much loved cakes and biscuits to her community. She also studied Public Speaking for her Bronze Skill which stood her in good stead at the Adventure Camp. For her Silver Skill she is studying her driving theory.

Confidently completing 24 kms over 2 days, Caitlin made sure all her peers were fit and well and that the camp was running smoothly. On reflection she realised that prior organisation was essential but adapted accordingly and became a natural leader. Golf was her chosen Sport for Bronze which she improved on and continues to improve for her Silver.
