Likolina Gcememe

ACADEMIC: GRADE 9 Masiphumele High School

Academic Progress:  Likholina struggles with maths and will need to put in extra effort to ensure she passes the grade.   She is still learning to identify specific strategies for improvement and needs supervision when completing her termly analysis.  She is recognising the value of doing homework and completing tasks on time.  Even though she doesn’t like speaking in English in public, she completed public speaking as her skill for the President’s Award and I encourage her to keep practicing this.

Post-School Vision: Likolina is interested in financial management.  She likes solving problems and helping people.  She sees good financial management as a way to help people out of debt.

GOLF: Handicap

Comment:Likolina has made really good improvement. She performs well during on-course and range lessons. At times Likolina lacks understanding of certain instructions and therefore she sometimes gets frustrated when she does not have a good day on the course or on the range.

LIFE SKILLS: President’s Award Bronze

Likolina received a Thank You from The President’s Awards Office for her detailed Portfolio of Evidence which was a pleasure to read. For her Bronze President Award Community Service Likolina took part in various activities totalling 24 hours of volunteer work. From doing a street clean in her township, cleaning toilets, cleaning windows and watering plants, Likolina did this all with a smile on her face. She so loved spending her spare time at The Loving Day Care in Masi that she has decided to continue with this centre for her Silver Award. Two afternoons a week are spent helping the children play, feed and learn.

For her Bronze Skill Award she studied Public Speaking transforming the way she meets and greets people. This Skill helped her during her Adventurous journey walking 24kms over 2 days on how important it was to respect and communicate with her peers. For her Skill in the Silver Award she is studying extra academics and will continue with her improvement of Golf for her Sport.
