Our new junior RAGA members

Great start to schools golf league!

A little apprehensive at first, our twelve new junior RAGA members have adapted really quickly and are taking on everything that they do with such enthusiasm. These new young faces may not have been seen up at the clubhouse often or indeed, on the golf course just yet, but given a few more months they will be ready to take on their first 9 holes. This steady progression is all part of the beginner phase of learning about what golf and what club life is all about.

The basic fundamentals of golf have been covered, including grip, posture, aim, alignment and ball position. The basics of the swing and general understanding are being taught now, the odd spot quiz being written or a practical fun test which tests skills development. In addition they are learning golf and club etiquette as well as building on their physical development, using fun and interactive methods.

Off course, the juniors have had their first meetings with Pernille Stallemo, the Academic & life Skills co-ordinator who has begun assessing their academic results and has started drawing up what help the Academy can offer to its new recruits. This is all part of a low immersion into life at RAGA. And our juniors love Academy life; the smiles tell the story .
