LIFE SKILLS: President’s Award Bronze
Phumza was thanked by The President’s Office for her detailed Bronze Portfolio of Evidence which was a pleasure to read. Learning to trust in herself was one of Phumza’s biggest challenges during the Bronze Adventurous Challenge of walking 24kms over 2 days and staying in a bunk house with her peers.

A shy young lady, learning the Skill of Public Speaking for her Bronze improved her English and helped her to overcome her shyness and to talk to her peers. For her Silver Skill she is having extra academic lessons to further improve on her English and other subjects.

Working in a children’s safe house for 26rs in 3 months for her Community part of the Bronze Award taught her how to make a difference in her own community and she is continuing to volunteer in Home to Home safe house in Masi for her Silver Community Award section. After never having seen a Golf Club in her life, Phumza immersed herself during the Bronze Sport Section on learning to play golf. This she will continue to improve on for her Silver Award.
