SA Girls Champs

All the RAGA girls; Lungelwa, Tiffinny, Simone, Munashra and Lauren represented Western Province in the South African Girls Championships held at Orkeny Golf Club during the June school holidays.

Four of them had never been on an aeroplane before, and the excitement could be felt in the early morning of Saturday 23rd June as they went through the departure gate prior to take off.

Lauren competed in the A division and played steadily in her 3 medal stroke play rounds. Munashra played in the 2 round Stableford point division and finished on a total of 64 points, earning the 3rd place in her division and a prize for performance. Tiffinny narrowly missed out on 63 points (4th place), whereas Lungelwa and Simone scored 47 and 55 points respectively over two rounds.
