LIFE SKILLS: President’s Award Bronze
Yanga received a note from the President’s Award Office thanking him for such a detailed Portfolio for his Bronze Award. For his Community Service Section Yanga got involved in his community cleaning up the streets, painting a neighbour’s house and volunteering at a Kids Safe House. For his Silver Community Service Yanga is helping out at The Mancendisana Day Care Centre in Masi twice a week. This he enjoys especially the smaller children in care.
Learning Public Speaking as his Bronze Skill helped Yanga so much during The Bronze Adventurous Journey. Not one to speak out at first, especially in English, Yanga soon found his voice and found a way to make himself heard. For his Silver Skill he is having extra academic lessons after school to improve his marks and is looking forward to the Silver Adventurous Journey in April 2017
